Each year we travel to the National Hardware Show as an official media partner to award six awards for the most innovative gear we can find. Why a hardware show? Because the fact of the matter is that a lot of people (us included), end up hitting big box home and garden stores for camping gear. Not everyone has an REI down the street, and a lot of the things we use camping can be found at the hardware store. We checked out a lot of cool gear at the show, but these six stood out to us.

Whitemead Forest Park in heart of the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire,has unveiledbrand new private hot tubs – just in time for the summer holiday season.
Due to popular demand for luxurious accommodation, seven new hot tubs have been installed as part of a long-term development plan for the family holiday park which saw the expansion of its glamping offering last year to a total of 29 glamping pods.
Now the resort’s bungalow and seven two-bedroom log cabins, which sleep four to six people, feature a private hot tub in the deck, perfect for a refreshing morning dip or relaxing evening soak.

The first thing to highlight about this chair is the compact size and low weight (it weighs just 1.46kg) making it easy to carry with you, whether you are going camping or out and about.
The frame of the chair is very fast and easy to assemble, requiring bungee attached poles to be slotted into each other. The chair seat and back itself then slots easily into place on the frame, taking perhaps a minute or 2 in total to put up.
Despite the diminutive size, the chair feels sturdy enough, though you do need to keep your weight centralised rather than leaning too far back on it which can cause it to tip onto...
